Sunshine Beaders - German Gingerbread Glass Light Catchers with Liz Deluca

Make three glass light catchers shaped like traditional German gingerbread houses, a classic at Christmas. Tutor Liz Deluca shows you how to score, cut and handle glass safely, then you cut your houses from templates in amber, honey or topaz glass and decorate them with white enamel lines, scrolls and swirls, just like piped icing. They'll look good enough to eat, but they're definitely not. This is a beginner class. The kit includes three glass panels (about 5cm x 12cm, drilled at the top for hanging), glass enamels and extra decorations. The panels are fired off site, so you collect them later from Scattered Arts in Wynnum or pay $6 for postage. A good one for homemade Christmas gifts, if you can part with them. Wear closed-in shoes and a long-sleeved shirt, tie long hair back, and bring an apron.
