Sunshine Beaders - Buttons Up Bracelet: Beadweaving with Pauline Stevens

Tutor Pauline Stevens is sharing her collection of vintage buttons for this beadweaving workshop. Shank buttons are the centrepiece, and because they're becoming harder to find, each bracelet has little chance of being repeated, so the one you make will be your own. Two-hole beads and seed beads weave around the buttons, and the back of the bracelet is finished so neatly it could almost be worn either way. Kits come in a variety of button styles, and this workshop offers a selection of metal, enamel and diamanté buttons. The finished bracelet is approximately 19 cm long and will need to be completed at home. This workshop is rated advanced, mainly for the concentration it takes, and concentration is the only prerequisite skill listed. Your kit includes 7 vintage glass or fancy metal buttons, SuperDuos, MiniDuos, Par Puca Helios, 5 mm and 7 mm pinch beads, and Miyuki 11/0 and 8/0 seed beads. Please bring long beading needles, a beading mat, scissors, 6 lb Fireline and a magnifying light if you need one. If you'd like a longer bracelet, extra vintage glass buttons are available at an additional charge.
