Smithsonian Starstruck: An Immersive Experience

Strap on a headset and head off on a 40-minute journey through the universe, from distant galaxies to the edge of a black hole. Smithsonian Starstruck is a virtual reality experience created with the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, and it opens at Fever Hub in Fortitude Valley on 5 November. Sessions start every 20 minutes between 10am and 5pm. It’s for ages 10 and up, with a minimum height of 1.30 metres. Under-15s need an adult with them, and 15 to 17-year-olds can go on their own with a signed waiver. Tickets are $41.50 for adults and $32.50 for children, seniors and students, with a group rate for four or more.
