Lord Mayor's City Hall Concerts presents Queensland Police Pipes and Drums & Band of Blue. THIS PERFORMANCE IS AUSLAN INTERPRETED. The Queensland Police Pipes & Drums (QPP&D) was originally formed in 1958 by a keen and committed group of police officers wishing to both represent the QPS and compete in pipe band competitions. Today, the QPP&D’s professional musicians perform at official engagements such as Police, Queensland Fire Department and Corrective Services graduations, Government House events, Anzac Day and National Police Remembrance Day, as well as schools, retirement villages and community events enhancing formal proceedings and providing crime prevention information where appropriate. They'll be joined on stage by the Queensland Police Band of Blue. Band of Blue has a rich history of service and entertainment and play a vital role in community engagement.
