Occupying the building that was the first town hall built in Queensland, the Gallery is a cultural hub for locals and visitors alike. The Gallery presents a year-round, dynamic mix of contemporary exhibitions, heritage displays, engaging public programs, school holiday activities, and interactive family-friendly exhibitions. Rotating inhouse and touring exhibitions showcase creatives from the Ipswich region, as well as nationally and internationally significant artists. A calendar of hands-on workshops, artist talks, and up lates bring our innovative exhibition program to life. Ipswich Art Gallery also takes play seriously.
