Great Places of Ipswich opens the doors to some of the city's most significant heritage sites. Highlights include exclusive access to the two heritage-listed homes; The Chestnuts and Rhossilli along with the much-loved gardens and buildings of Queen's Park. Rich in character, architecture and local history, this unique experience offers a deeper connection to one of Queensland's most rewarding heritage destinations. The Chestnuts: Originally home to Mary Darnley Morrison's renowned finishing school, this three-storey home features verandahs with cast iron balustrading and cedar interiors and an attic space that hints at its layered past. Rhossilli: This elegant residence has witnessed more than a century of local stories. From prominent families and civic leaders to its years as a convalescent home, nursing home and hostel, Rhossilli has continually evolved while retaining its remarkable character.
