Cyanotype: A Botanical Memento of Sandgate with Dr Renata Buziak | Heritage Hands Festival

Discover the magic of cyanotype, a historic photographic process that uses sunlight to create beautiful blue-and-white botanical prints. Join Brisbane-based artist Dr Renata Buziak for a hands-on, two-hour workshop exploring this fascinating camera-less photographic technique. Using plants and natural materials, you'll experiment with light and composition while learning traditional cyanotype processes. Create three unique pieces to take home: a print on paper, a print on cotton fabric and a botanical bookmark inspired by Sandgate's local character and heritage. No experience necessary. All materials are included, with a maximum of just 10 participants. Part of the inaugural Heritage Hands Festival: Sandgate, celebrating traditional crafts, specialist trades and the people keeping handmade skills alive. Proudly sponsored by Brisbane City Council.
