Bella & Tortie

Bella & Tortie is a widely acclaimed bakery owned and operated by Suzi Unwin. Originally starting life in a Grange shopfront, the concept has evolved in recent years. Today, the bakery operates from a semi-subterranean space in Stafford, selling an assortment of sweet and savoury items from Friday to Sunday. The ever-changing menu might feature delicate yuzu tarts, quince and hazelnut tres leches and espresso-laced tirami-choux alongside fragrant caneles and buttery apple turnovers, while the savoury cabinet is stocked with inventive sausage rolls, seasonal quiches, loaded pies, house-made focaccia sandwiches and irresistible Korean corn cheese toasties.
